Just discovered your work, and I really like your style. I wonder if you can help me? I’m trying to research deer in celtic mythology, and am now very well versed in the Oisin legends (and his various family ties!). Are there any online sources you could suggest that are specifically localised for around Cork? Or equally, do you – or are you familiar with, any artists who have specialised in shapeshifting. Ideally the themes I’m interested in involved Stags and deer, forests and folklore.

    Thank you kindly!

Thank you so much for writing! (I just came back from a trip to Dublin and spotted your tweet..thank you!) An excellent online resource for mythology is Sacred Texts Online.
(http://www.sacred-texts.com/search.htm) If you type Oisin in the search box, you’ll discover the site is full of resources that might help you on your journey. I’m currently researching the Cailleach Beara and her stories are full of shape shifting lore. I just picked up a small, but interesting book called Visions of the Cailleach from Avalonia books. (http://bit.ly/dQhAN1) If there is anything directly related to Cork I will be sure to write you directly. It’s an interesting coincidenece that you wrote when you did….my next series of paintings is about shape shifting. :)

If you are interested in artwork with shape shifting themes you might enjoy the work of Susan Sedon-Boulet. Sadly she has passed away, but her work continues to inspire and delight.

Thank you Susanne! That is all super duper helpful; I’m writing a film, and whilst this element affects only one scene, it is something I’ve always been fascinated by, and I was in need of some informed inspiration.

Regarding the coincidence of you starting a shape shifting project, life never fails to amaze me with its seemingly random timing. If people are receptive, we often find that things we need come to us in one way or another.

I look forward to more Twitter updates of your work – cheers! :-)

Your art connects on a truly visceral level with me. It seems to stem from a very genuine place which I find tends to draw me in (sometimes, if I’m lucky) and I get lost in the images for a while.
I look forward to further, future expressions of the many facets of the inner you.

This is just a quick note that I absolutely love your work and reading about what inspires you and how you can bring it into fruition. You’ve done amazing work, and it is wonderful to follow its progress!

    Keep up the amazingness! :)
