I know, I know... I have been SO quiet my Wild Ones, I am sorry if I worried you. Truth be told, I am like the quintessential duck....calm on the surface, but paddling like crazy beneath the water. :) I wanted to let you know that I am indeed still here, working hard and will send some updates and the newsletter out as soon as possible. So many things to share!
Until then, I invite you to take a quick peek into my studio to see some of the works in progress that have been growing and building themselves at my various tables.
The picture below is just a few of the paintings I've been working on. I have several more drying off camera along with a stack of sketchbook ideas and rough drawings waiting to be brought to life.
Another one of my tables is covered with handcrafts waiting to be painted, carved, modified, sculpted, dressed, stitched, sanded etc. This is probably one of the busiest tables in my studio. It's also the place where beach glass, misfit toys, old nails, dried seaweed, copper wire, seashells, buttons and so on, find their way in hope of being utilized in one project or another..
It's also the time of the year for Poppets! With the cold weather coming and the holiday season soon upon us, poppet making is how you will find me spending most of my evenings. I've got a few humans and critters in the mix, but am happily adding aliens and monsters. The table below is filling up with little folk patiently waiting to receive their faces. So many personalities, so little time! I will be sure to post each one of them in the storefront as they become available at http://www.susanneiles.com .
Aside from the art projects you see in the works, I've got a book coming out in the spring, an archetypal card project (exciting!), a fun business venture, a spot on The Pirate Radio Network and more! Thank you all for all your words of encouragement, light and laughter, and heartfelt letters....you give me the strength to keep on my creative journey. Thank you for journeying with me.
'Til very soon my Wild Ones, keep adventuring and stay joyful! xo
